The aim of the beginner's magic workshop is to run you through a number of magic tricks, tried, tested and used by me, so that you will be able to perform these tricks when you get home.

"Everything is supplied for 3 very
visual tricks."

To be honest, the mechanics of most, not all, but most magic tricks are relatively straightforward. The presentation is where you will score highly. Misdirection is something that worries some people but actually is also fairly simple when you understand why you are doing it and how good it will make the illusion look.

As part of the workshop, you can ask me any questions you like about magic, and I will work my way around the class giving tips once we have you actually using them. And that won't take long. I like to get things up on their feet as soon as possible.

It's fun and informative and how you choose to use your new found skills is entirely up to you. Many people just amuse their kids or grandkids.

"All the tricks you get are small enough to carry around and so you can wow your friends in the local pub."

None of the tricks and gags I teach you involve counting cards out like those rather long ones that people do on a pub table, which do tend to be maths based, and while certainly are interesting (from a mathematical point of view), don't give that 'wow' factor.

Many people now use them as part of their work. Whenever I am asked for my business card, I take out a pack of normal playing cards, let them choose one and it will always be my business card - and they like it. It's fun, so there is a commercial side to it all as well.

If I told you I could get you to offer any card from a pack to a friend, get them to put it back into the pack anywhere they like, and then throw the pack up to the ceiling and their chosen card would end up stuck to the ceiling, would you believe that I could get you to do that in a two-hour workshop? Probably not, but I can ... and I will ... and it's simple.

"But to find out just how simple, you must first enrol on to the workshop."

I am also very happy to come to your place of work to run these magic workshops, as I travel up and down the country doing workshops for businesses and schools. Call me on 01234 241357 or click here to send me an email enquiry and book your place.

Until next time ...
