I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to get used to this new normal of staying home all the time. Not completely, but I’m just keeping calm and carrying on. What more can you do?
I’m enjoying this downtime. We had a lovely VE Day celebration with our neighbours on Friday (at a safe social distance), I’m watching old movies with my daughter, taking the dogs on their daily walks and, of course, learning my lines for one of our summer productions.
Our plan A is to open our doors on 6th August for Etcetera Theatre Company’s adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I just hope it comes to fruition.
Many people I’ve spoken to are at that stage where they want to start planning things to look forward to, once we’re able to see each other again. I know I’m certainly at that point. That’s exactly why I want to keep working towards bringing live theatre to our outdoor stage so you can enjoy a new experience and some fabulous escapism.
Tickets are available via our website. Or why not enter our #lovemk competition on our Facebook page to try and win a pair?
We are always listening to the Governments advice and guidelines. We will always do the right thing when it comes to the safety of our team and customers. If we must postpone, then all tickets will be transferred to a new date or refunded if you’d prefer. I do hope you’ll stick with us and join us for some much-needed plays, performances, picnics and Prosecco.
Until then, stay safe.
