The Arches Theatre: What A Start To Our Summer Season!

Thank you to everyone who came to see the incredible cast of Musicals in the Park on our opening weekend of Summer 2021 at the Arches Theatre! Wasn't it an amazing performance? ...

Those vocals from Amy and Adam were sensational and the slick dance moves from Alex, Rose, Chrystal and Luke were just fabulous. They had us all out of our seats dancing and singing the night away. Thank you to Lucy Dean and Scott Coldwell, the producers, who brought this fantastic show back to The Arches.

A few hours of fun, laughter and great entertainment was certainly what we all needed after the year we've had. What a way to kick off our summer of live theatre and music. So, what's on this weekend?

Our next live theatre performance is 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' performed by local theatre troupe Etcetera Theatre Company from Wednesday 4th August - Saturday 7th August. About their performance, they said in a recent blog post:

"Perhaps one of Shakespeare's most loved comedies, A Midsummer Night's Dream regales the story of a feuding fairy King and Queen of the forest that cross paths with four runaway lovers and a troupe of actors trying to rehearse a play.

As their dispute grows, the magical royal couple meddles with mortal lives leading to love triangles, mistaken identities and transformations... with hilarious, but dark consequences.

Chief mischief-maker Puck is on-hand to ensure that the course of true love is anything, but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare's most beguiling comedy."

Further tickets have just been released, so get yours while you can direct from ETC.

On Friday 13th August, West End and Broadway artist Alistair Brammer (Wicked, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon) will be returning to perform his one night only concert 'The Magic of Musical Theatre' with his special guest Nikki Bentley (Wicked, Ghost, Shrek).

Expect some of the finest musical theatre classics that the Broadway songbook has to offer, including Phantom of The Opera, Les Misérables and more. Plus, hear some interesting stories from his life in theatre and screen along the way.

If you are a musical theatre fan, then this is a show you do not want to miss. Click here for tickets We hope that you can all join us this August for some great live entertainment.
