Sparks Olney: Fun, Filming And Facts At Our Easter Club

Our week-long Sparks Olney Easter film Club has now come to an end, and what an egg-citing week it has been! The young film crew got hands-on with writing, acting, directing and filming ...

Plus they learned a host of new filming techniques from green screen to shot composition. They also took part in masterclasses led by our expert tutors. It really was a week full of fun, filming and facts.

They were tasked with creating a short story told without words, just shots and expressions. Here's the short they wrote, entitled 'Fired', that was rehearsed and filmed using only four shots, which included one close up.

They understood the brief and created something that works remarkably well, only having had a few days to master these techniques. Our film crew has written and directed another film, which we will share with you very soon.

If you like the idea of making your own film and learning all the different techniques and tricks, then why not join us at our weekly film school based in Olney, Buckinghamshire?

We're at the East Street Community Centre from 10am-12pm each Sunday. Why not sign up for a free trial to see if you like it? We're sure you will! Be sure to look out for our summer holiday workshops too. Details out soon.
