We are delighted to announce our exciting lineup for our sixth summer of open-air theatre on our quirky outdoor stage. We have some of our favourite artists returning and also some new ones too ...
British Touring Shakespeare return for the third year with another excellent offering from The Bard, 'Much Ado About Nothing'. Join this professional theatre company on the 5th of August for their hilarious new adaptations of one of Shakespeare's best-loved romantic comedies.
Debuting on our outdoor stage on the 11th of August, we have Shades of Simon. This 5-piece band will present their highly acclaimed theatre show in tribute to Paul Simon in 'The Paul Simon Story'. With an engaging narration, exceptional musicianship and authentic renditions of the best of his songs from Simon and Garfunkel through to Graceland, this is a show that appeals to all generations.
Next up we have the brilliant The Last Baguette with their riotous and ridiculous retelling of 'Pandora's Box Jar', which is perfect for all the family! A gallop through Greek mythology featuring goofy gods, hilarious heroines and daft deities. Join the Baguettes as they lift the lid on this classic myth with physical comedy, visual storytelling, live music, un-Apollo-getically bad puns and lo-fi special effects. If you caught their production of King Arthur last year, then you know you are in for a lot of fun and laughter!
Their new adaptation of 'Alice in Wonderland' takes you on an adventure into Wonderland to meet all the characters we know and love; The Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter ... even The Queen of Hearts. Expect lots of fun and after this performance, you'll not want to leave Wonderland! Ideal for children of all ages.
DOT will also perform their new adaptation of Jane Austen's Final novel 'Persuasion'. Follow the story of Anne Elliot persuaded by friends and family to end her engagement to Frederick Wentworth. Seven years later over many humorous encounters, they meet again. Will they once again be persuaded to stay apart or will love conquer all? Told in their renowned style and bound to delight all Austen Fans.
