Live Music Weekend At The Arches This Summer

We are delighted to announce our exciting weekend of live music at our outdoor theatre this August. From much-loved '70s pop and a BAFTA nominated entertainer to a world-renowned British musician and local bands, we bring together an eclectic range of music that offers something for everyone ...

ABBA Sensation returns this summer to kick things off on Friday the 12th of August. Become the ultimate Dancing Queen by getting your disco gear on and joining this phenomenal ABBA tribute band for an evening of live classics and high energy fun. ABBA Sensation will have you on your feet and singing along from the moment they step onto the stage.

"Experience ABBA like you never have before!"

BAFTA-nominated musician, Richard Digance, also returns for another year on Saturday the 13th of August with an evening of fun, laughter and ingenious comedy folk music. Expect to hear entertaining stories and nostalgic songs for you to of course join in with. As a recipient of The Gold Award from The British Academy of Songwriters, Richard is the very best at what he does.

Richard will be joined by a variety of local bands (TBC), including Arches' owner, David Pibworth, and his band The Bolivian Sunshine Dogs, a nine-piece comedy jazz band! This is an evening not to be missed.

Closing the weekend, we have world-renowned British dulcimer player, guitarist and composer, Dan Evans, who will be performing on Sunday the 14th of August with an intimate concert of dulcimer and guitar music and song. As a stylish guitarist and master of his instruments, don't miss this classical concert experience at our beautiful outdoor theatre.

"So, that is the line-up for our live music weekend for 2022!"

We hope there is something there that you will come and enjoy with us. This year we have chosen to hold our live music performances in just one weekend. This is because the vision for The Arches Theatre has always been to host live theatre productions. When the pandemic occurred, we wanted to help as many artists as possible to perform during very difficult times for the arts industry. This is where we introduced music and dance performances.

We still want to include music in our lineup each year, but it will now be held over one weekend. The date for your diary this year is the 12th to the 14th of August 2022 and tickets are selling quickly via our Box Office.

We hope you are able to join us this summer.
