Help Us Raise £5,000 For The National Brain Appeal

The Arches Theatre and Milton Keynes Theatre of Comedy (MKTOC) aims to raise £5,000 for The National Brain Appeal's Rare Dementia Support Fund with their production of Ripping Yarns this August ...

We have been given kind permission by Michael Palin and Alison, the wife of the late Terry Jones both of Monty Python fame, to stage three tales from comedy series and raise valuable funds for this incredible charity.

"All proceeds from the Ripping Yarns performances will go to the Rare Dementia Support Fund!"

If we raise £5,000, then our total will be match funded. If you are feeling generous and would like to give a little bit more to get us to our target, we would be forever grateful. This charity was chosen because the brilliant Terry Jones sadly died last year from frontotemporal dementia, and David Pibworth (owner of The Arches) also lost his father to dementia. So, this is a charity close to all of our hearts.

We have set up a Just Giving Page to make it extremely easy for you to donate! And we thank you in advance for your generosity.

The brilliant cast of MKTOC will be performing three wacky episodes from 26-28 August :

- 'Tomkinson's Schooldays': New boy Tomkinson struggles to adjust to the horrors of boarding school and dreams of escape back to his family ...
- 'Golden Gordon': Barnstoneworth United Football Club's greatest fan, Gordon Ottershaw comes to the rescue of the failing club in a crucial match against Denley Moor FC ...
- 'Escape from Stalag Luft 112B': Major Phipps, celebrated WWI escaper, attempts to break out of the infamous German POW camp ...

The cast has been announced and full details of who is playing who can be found on the MKTOC website! Tickets are available right now, so get yours now before they all go!

We look forward to seeing you all at the Arches Theatre when we open in just over one weeks' time.
