It's time to dust of your picnic hamper and start planning your picnic menu, as our quirky outdoor theatre opens in just over three weeks' time and it's also National Picnic Month ...
To add to your open-air theatre experience with us, we invite our audience members to bring a homemade picnic and enjoy it in the peaceful surroundings of our unique venue from one hour before the performance.
As it is National Picnic Month next month, we thought we'd give you a flavour of some of our favourite foodie places in Olney where you can stock up on some homemade goodies for your picnic hampers.
Four great places there to try:
- Alex and his team at Sandwich Land for a range of tasty treats
- Gabriella's Dolci and Cucina which is an Authentic Italian Deli and Bakery
- Olney Kitchen for some pizza, meze and sharing platters
- The Quirk Space is a cafe and coffee bar, which is 100% vegan
What more could you ask for? Enjoy delicious local food with your friends and family in the glorious sunshine (fingers crossed), all before sitting back to watch fantastic live theatre.
Or if you'd rather eat before you come, you can get delicious dishes from The Courtyard Brasserie and freshly made pancakes at The Pancake Parlour. If you want to dine even closer to our outdoor theatre, why not try The Robin Hood Pub in Clifton Reynes, who specialise in scrumptious pies and sausages?
At The Arches Theatre, we are all about supporting other great local businesses and helping them thrive. We hope you will join us in making full use of their services and products and supporting them too. We can't wait to welcome you in just a few weeks.
If you haven't bought your tickets yet, head to our What's on page to see the full line-up and links to our box office. Let's all enjoy National Picnic Month.
See you all very soon.
