We are excited to announce that Sparks Arts Olney is bringing its fun filmmaking Summer Camp to The Arches Theatre this August. If you have a young filmmaker aged 9 to 15 that would like to make their own movie, then Sparks Filmmaking Summer Camp is the place for them ...
During the weeklong action-packed course, students will work alongside expert teachers and get hands-on learning new skills and exploring new themes and techniques. Students step into every filmmaking role, learning both the creative and technical aspects, including pitching, storyboarding, scriptwriting, directing shots, camera operation and film editing. They even get to try their hand at being in front of the camera.
By the end of the week, they would have written, directed and starred in their very own film. The camp gives young people a chance to try something new, boost their confidence, gain new skills and meet other young people with similar interests.
They will also be working on location at The Arches Theatre, our quirky outdoor venue in Clifton Reynes. Students will include filming on the disused railway line, the railway arches and the surrounding area including an island opposite the bathing steps at Olney.
Summer Camp details:
- Date: 21st - 25th August 2023
Run by: David Pibworth and David Lovesy - full DSB checks and insurance
